How Procurement is Enabling Al Masaood’s Emiratisation Programme

21 June 2021

The Procurement Department has taken aboard an internship program for young Emirati fresh graduates in line with our commitment to support and advance the development of UAE talent. In this program, young graduates are receiving on the job training and are learning how to navigate real life work scenarios.

The onboarding of Emirati graduates at Procurement has been a success story in the past two years. We are happy to have Nasser Al Khoori who started with us back in 2019 and then officially joined the team as a part-time Procurement Officer. Nasser is now a graduate of Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) and has progressed to a full-time employee this June.  I am very happy and proud of his achievements.

In January 2020, the team welcomed Hamda Al Mazrouei, another bright young Emirati professional. In a short span of time, Hamda built healthy working relationships and delivered projects in a timely and professional manner. She is now a full-time Procurement Business Partner for the Group’s Corporate Support functions.

This month we welcomed Talal Abualwafa as part of our growing Emirati family. As Group Procurement Manager, I am grateful that I could contribute to the national Emiratisation programme in the field of Procurement and Supply Chain. Procurement is a strategic function that contributes to any organisation’s profitability and helps reduce its 'bottom line.'
