Ahmed Rahma Al Masaood, Chairman of Al Masaood Oil and Gas and Vice Chairman of Al Masaood Group has been ranked 8th at the Power 25 logistics leaders in the Middle East this year for his leadership and taking his team to greater heights despite the pandemic.

Following the award, Ahmed Rahma has become part of the elite list of the region’s most prominent industry figures, which include Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamsi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Ports; Mohammed Ali Almajdouie, Chief Executive Officer of Almajdouie Logistics; and Nabil Sultan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates SkyCargo.

Masaood Ahmed Al Masaood, Chairman of Al Masaood Group, said: “We would like to congratulate Ahmed on his latest recognition. As Vice Chairman of Al Masaood Group and Chairman of Masaood Oil & Gas, Ahmed continues to give his best to strengthen the Group’s market presence and, more importantly, help drive the nation’s future. He takes his inspiration from the forward-thinking insights of our wise leadership. His efforts have been paying off. He is now recognised as one of the youngest and most progressive leaders in the country. We wish him many more achievements, and through his help, Al Masaood will maintain its successful march towards the next 50 years and remain consistent with its ‘Growing with the Nation’ vision.”

With Ahmed’s contributions, Al Masaood Group has achieved numerous milestones, particularly in the industrial field, which supports the economic and industrial development of the nation.  Some of these achievements were made during the early days of the Group’s operations, including the building of Abu Dhabi’s first desalination plant in collaboration with Weir Westgarth and bringing the first gas turbine to Abu Dhabi and the Middle East in partnership with British firm John Brown Engineering.

The Group’s divisions, specifically Al Masaood Tyres, Batteries & Accessories, Bergum, and Commercial Vehicles & Equipment, have also flourished and are now considered major contributors to the growth of Abu Dhabi’s logistics industry.

Al Masaood has also become the official dealer for world-leading power brands - namely MTU, Volvo Penta, and Leroy-Somer. This development has enabled the organisation to support the UAE’s prominent power company, ADNOC, by being its long-term supplier of energy solutions.
