Al Masaood Group, the Abu Dhabi-based business conglomerate, has recently held a strategic planning retreat to create a roadmap for future operations in key sectors of the market. The three-day physical event saw participation from leaders, experts, and specialists who utilized the platform to explore the challenges and emerging key trends in the industry.

Under the themeTajdeed’ which means renewal in Arabic, the retreat provided an opportunity for the participants to assess the strengths and untapped potential of its business units to improve day-to-day operations and achieve excellence. Al Masaood has also appointed a dedicated team to lead an organizational transformation project called Tajdeed. The goal is to produce a highly efficient, tightly-knit company that will grow and expand across all the department. The team will be equipped by smart processes that will seek faster turnaround and solutions for clients. The project, which will begin with the Power Division, is expected to complete within six to eight months.

The key pillars of the Tajdeed project include assessing the current state processes, identifying issues within and across company divisions, focusing on improving the workflow, identifying new business opportunities, improving customer satisfaction, and implementing solutions and changes throughout the Group’s business units.

Commenting on the importance of holding such a retreat, Ahmed Rahma Al Masaood, Vice Chairman of Al Masaood Group, said: “We have been very fortunate to have pulled off this in-person event which is of great importance for such a big organization as Al Masaood. This event aligned all our company divisions which share the same goals and business objectives for further growth. By coming up with future-proof strategies, we have full confidence on the Group’s development success in the coming 50 years as an ardent contributor to the country’s sustainability goals.”
