In honour of the Year of Zayed and under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bin Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, Al Masaood took part in a special forum themed ‘Zayed and Social Responsibility,’ which was hosted by Abu Dhabi University on November 20, 2018. It aimed at highlighting the role of UAE universities in promoting social responsibility within the context of higher education in the country.
Proactively engaging young UAE nationals to work in the private sector through various initiatives is at the core of Al Masaood’s corporate social responsibility. Our participation at the forum is in line with the company’s continuing efforts to support initiatives that will further develop the Emirati youth through its long-standing partnership with higher education institutions such as the Abu Dhabi University.
Al Masaood continues to support the fresh graduates in various universities in Abu Dhabi by providing them job opportunities and training programs. The Emirati Functional Trainee Program, a one-year program which helps identify the potentials among the young generation who could be top management and future industry leaders remains one of the company’s leading activities for the youth. The Emirati Study Sponsorship is also an ongoing program for bright students taking a mechanical degree or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering, leading them to work in automotive, marine, and oil and gas sectors.
