    We contribute to fostering a competitive new generation that is sports savvy and health conscious both physically and mentally. We aim to do so by integrating sports as a way of life in the UAE. And in line with the vision of the UAE, we put in effort to build strong and lasting relationships with the local sports communities to help make Abu Dhabi a world-class venue for international sporting events.

    Partnership with Al Jazira Football Club

    As part of its continuous support to youth and sports, Al Masaood is now the Official Automotive Partner of Al Jazira Football Club, one of the UAE’s most prominent football clubs.

    Through this partnership, Al Masaood and Nissan brand will adorn the jerseys of the club’s first team players till 2023.

    This collaboration is the result of Al Masaood’s recognition of the role of sports in enhancing the lives of the UAE’s young and upcoming generations. Sports have a profound power of not only building long-lasting positive community relationships but also of raising healthy and fit generations if such activities are integrated into their lives.  Further, at Al Masaood, our partnership with Al Jazira Sports Club is a milestone in our strategic efforts to contribute to Abu Dhabi’s bid to become a world-class hub for international sporting events.

    Through this partnership, we at Al Masaood together with our flagship brand Nissan, aim to reach out to the youth of Abu Dhabi in the most personal and creative ways. Football holds a special place in Nissan’s heart, being the world’s most popular sport, and reflects the brand’s legacy of strategic partnerships with several major global competitions such as the UEFA Champions League.

    The 2019 Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi

    Al Masaood was immensely proud to be a Gold Sponsor and exclusive automotive partner of the 2019 Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi. Hosted for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Abu Dhabi welcomed the biggest humanitarian sporting event in the world and the largest single event ever held in the UAE, with over 45,000 spectators in Abu Dhabi, and millions of viewers worldwide.

    The 2019 World Games, which was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was set to be the most unified Special Olympics competition in history, with the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in every aspect of the event.

    Millions of people from all over the world united to witness over 7,000 athletes from more than 170 countries around the world. From an array of different cultures and diverse backgrounds, these sportsmen and women competed alongside each other in a worldwide competition that showcased their sporting abilities, across 24 sports events at various venues across the capital.

    The Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi sent a powerful message of willpower and determination that goes beyond sports and competition. Al Masaood’s participation in the games is in keeping with our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plans and our obligation towards building an inclusive society in the UAE through sports, health, schools and youth engagement. We were proud to be part of the Special Olympics Movement, which dramatically transforms lives by unifying people with and without intellectual disabilities to end discrimination and create inclusion.

    HH Sheikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said: “Our nation is built around the core values of tolerance and inclusion, and becoming the host nation of the Special Olympics World Games underpins those values.”

    Athletic Talent Fund

    Al Masaood Group, which received the UAE Sports Achievement Award, has been an active supporter of the ‘Athletic Talent Fund’, a program that sponsors gifted local athletes through funding initiatives. The money goes to the athletes’ best-in-class training, as well as several development programs designed to pick national athletes who have consistently demonstrated outstanding capabilities and determination. The recently launched fund has been applauded for the active role it plays in discovering athletes with impressive talents in the UAE.

    Juventus Football Academy

    This initiative is the first of its kind in Abu Dhabi and is aimed at giving young and aspiring athletes unprecedented access to professional sports education. Vice Chairman Ahmed Rahma Al Masaood, the concurrent Chairman of J Sports LLC, led the Academy’s opening on January 21st 2018 at the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club. J Sports LLC, a joint venture between Al Masaood Group LLC and FFG Sports Management LLC, will manage the Academy, which will offer and conduct a series of matches, leagues, tournaments, and events.

    Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship

    Al Masaood Group has been the golden sponsor of the Jiu-Jitsu competition for three years now. By doing so, it seeks to keep Jiu-Jitsu fans from all over the world informed about the latest developments in this world-class tournament. It also seeks to contribute to the UAE Government’s efforts to promote Jiu-Jitsu in the country and provide the athletes an opportunity to compete globally. We are fully engaged and committed to Abu Dhabi’s long-term vision to support the country’s young athletes.

    Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open

    Al Masaood is an active supporter as official automotive sponsor of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open, the first-ever exclusively ladies-only professional golf event to take place in the UAE. The event which hosted the Ladies European Tour schedule in 2019 provided amateur golfers the opportunity to play alongside esteemed professionals, with a host of 126 players competing for the top prize.

    Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship represented by EGA

    As official automotive sponsor in partnership with Nissan, Al Masaood recognizes the role of prestigious global tournaments such as the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA in promoting golf in the UAE and the region. It is one of the most competitive sporting events on the European Tour calendar, which is also part of the Rolex Series, the premium tournament category on the European Tour’s International Schedule with the prize fund of USD7 million. The tournament is instrumental in the launch of the European Tour’s ‘Desert Swing’, the first of several events in the Middle East.

    Gary Player Invitational

    Al Masaood is proud to be one of the major sponsors of the Gary Player Invitational, the world’s leading charity golf series. It took part in the event held in January 2019 with 72 international golf professionals, celebrities and prominent business leaders who helped Grand Slam Champion Gary Player raised funds for The Player Foundation. The foundation has selected the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs as its charity of choice. The event also honored the UAE’s declaration of 2019 as the Year of Tolerance through a series of events and activities.
