Breast cancer prevention tips

Globally the month of October is dedicated to raising awareness on Breast Cancer. Dubbed as ‘Pink October’, organisations and individuals around the world share content on this topic to raise awareness and help people stay protected through medically approved preventative measures.
Breast cancer became the most common cancer globally as of 2021, accounting for 12% of all new annual cancer cases worldwide, according to the World Health Organization.
The first campaign on breast cancer awareness was launched by the Estée Lauder Companies in 1992. Its main mission was to create a breast cancer-free world and setting in motion the creation of the iconic pink ribbon. The pink ribbons are worn to honour survivors, remember those lost, spread awareness, and support research being done in this field.
This month, and in line with the global initiative, we will be running an internal campaign with the aim to raise awareness on breast cancer, and provide preventative tips.
We will also be collaborating with our insurance partners to provide you with online advisory sessions that can be attended by all employees across the Group, and discuss treatments and screenings available in the UAE.
The main objective of this campaign is to reduce the risks of breast cancer and to help individuals be more aware and informed.
