Celebrating International Youth Day

International Youth Day is just around the corner, being observed globally on 12 August. This year’s theme “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World” aligns very closely with Al Masaood’s commitment to sustainability, and our efforts to empower people to live a more sustainable life.
Forbes data shows that young people are profoundly committed to making choices that align with their values. Many of them often choose to put the health of the planet first. To accommodate these, green skills are required, including the knowledge, abilities, values, and attitudes needed to live in, develop and support a sustainable and resource-efficient society.
As drivers of our future, our youth have a large opportunity to push the transition to a greener tomorrow. At Al Masaood, we recognise the importance of empowering our employees with green skills and providing them with the knowledge to lead a responsible lifestyle. Our Learning and Development programme also offers an introductory sustainability course to help our employees adopt a green and more sustainable mindset.
