CV&E welcomes UD Trucks Middle East and North Africa delegates

Al Masaood Commercial Vehicles and Equipment (CV&E) had a very fruitful month as they welcomed Mr. Mourad Hedna, President of UD Trucks Middle East, East and North Africa and other senior team members into their M15 facility in Abu Dhabi and participated in the UD Extra Mile Challenge 2020 Virtual Global Awards Ceremony.
During his visit, Mr. Mourad Hedna presented CV&E with UD Trucks MEENA Importer of the Year 2020 award, in recognition of the efforts that the Division has invested over the past year in a very challenging market environment. Receiving this award is a testament to the collective hard work of all the team members in CV&E. The Division was selected as the winner of this award back in December 2020 during the Annual UD MEENA Partner's Conference 2020 which was held virtually this time.
On the other hand, Al Masaood CV&E witnessed the crowning of the winners of the UD Extra Mile Challenge 2020 local driving competitions during a virtual global awards ceremony organised by UD Trucks head office in Japan. Out of the Challenge's 500 participants, 10 drivers from Australia, Singapore, South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Qatar, the Philippines, and the UAE were officially declared as the Ultimate Drivers during the online gathering. Our customer's driver Mr. Khalid Aboud from Western Bainoona Group was the winner representing Abu Dhabi and UAE market.
The 2020 Japan Global Final was cancelled due to the pandemic, and all local market winners were chosen as Ultimate Drivers. UD Trucks described it as a worthy designation, considering that they kept their trucks moving despite the pandemic to deliver essential goods to communities.
Taking part in the global virtual awards ceremony illustrated that Al Masaood CV&E continues to share with UD Trucks the same mission and goals that the Extra Mile Challenge espouses. We look forward to the competition's upcoming edition and to many more achievements with our partners UD Trucks.
