Al Masaood Chairman pays tribute to UAE armed forces for sacrifices and bravery

As the nation celebrates the 44th anniversary of the Armed Forces Unification Day, which falls on May 6, we express our pride, gratitude and appreciation for the great efforts made by the UAE Armed Forces in fulfilling the duty of defending the nation and safeguarding its civilizational gains. These efforts have also laid solid foundations that are capable of supporting the UAE in its mission to consolidate the pillars of security, peace and stability, both regionally and globally. Our country’s wise leadership attaches great importance to the development of our Armed Forces and therefore, it continues to fully support and further develop the forces by attracting a selection of qualified national personnel to strengthen the security and safety and deepen the values of loyalty to the homeland.
On this glorious occasion, we pay tribute to their bravery and readiness to sacrifice their lives in defence of their homeland. This year’s celebrations coincide with challenging times brought about by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) that has affected the whole world. In the wake of this global outbreak, our Armed Forces are working hand-in-hand with various entities and authorities to mitigate the impact of this crisis on the UAE’s communities, driven by their commitment to offering humanitarian assistance and relief efforts. Their capabilities in this regard have also contributed to the UAE’s leading global position in terms of its ability and keenness to lead humanitarian efforts around the world.
