In recognition of World Oceans Day, celebrated globally on 8 June, Al Masaood Power Division recently hosted Toby Gregory, an adventurer and environmental advocate. In Maritime City - Mina Rashid Office, Dubai, Toby discussed his impactful journey rowing across the Atlantic Ocean to raise awareness about plastic pollution.

The session featured Toby's 5,000-km journey across the Atlantic Ocean in 42 days. Amongst the challenges he faced was the vast amount of plastic waste he encountered at sea. The experiences he had shed valuable light on the pressing issue of marine pollution, which demonstrates the crucial nature of ocean conservation.

This conversation resonated with Al Masaood Power Division’s ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into its operations. As the authorised distributor of mtu A Rolls-Royce Solution, Volvo Penta, and Leroy-Somer, and the developer of SHAMS+, the first UAE’s off-grid solar charging system for electric vehicles and hybrid marine vessels, our goal is to provide environmentally friendly power solutions for customers. Toby’s session was eye-opening and reinforced the importance of the division’s dedication to reduce marine and industrial environmental impacts.
