Q1. During the current situation of the coronavirus spread around the world, can we benefit from the construction of the modular buildings?

The COVID-19 has dramatically changed the way we live and work which many of us were not initially ready to accept, such as working from home.

However, with the situation, we have learned to accept this reality and found our way to work with it.

In the same way, the prefab and modular industry had been in the same situation and is now being considered as the only option to fast track completion of work and is now considered as a reliable construction approach.

Under the current circumstances, modular construction can provide a fast, reliable, and eco-friendly facility that can immediately serve many sectors such as temporary and special purpose accommodations, makeshift facilities and other relevant facilities designed according to clients’ specific requirements.

Q2. How has Al Masaood Bergum adapted to this demand?

Having been in the business for nearly 41 years now, we are experienced in providing facilities to almost all key business sectors in the UAE.

Even though we continue to meet our ongoing commitments, we have been privileged to take additional loads and serve the needs of key clients in the UAE, in light of the current situation.

To function effectively, it is important for us to ensure the safety of our crew that are in and out of the yard.

We have put in place several systems such as the disinfection of all facilities and vehicles, creating two to three work shifts, providing health boosters that would increase the immunity of all team members, and special incentives to keep the facilities working round the clock.

We are already equipped and prepared to cater to needs of challenging situations such as what is happening now and Al Masaood Bergum has produced new facilities to meet various requirements and our rental fleet division which had been modified has served well to support today’s needs.

Q3. What are the hygiene and sanitation measures that have been implemented on these modular buildings?

Nothing is more important than the health and well-being of humans, in light of that; we are taking extra hygiene and sanitation measures to ensure that our assets fulfil the safety requirements.

The enhanced safety measures that were implemented during production, and all our resources go through the sanitization process and all our modular buildings are sanitized before delivery.

Q4. How can modular construction provide a quicker return on investment?

There is a lot of benefit in modular construction as the facility can be completed faster with lower carrying costs – the expenses incurred by clients from the development phase and right before completion.

When looking for short-term solutions, modular construction is an ideal option because the length of construction process, which is half the period than conventional construction, is reduced without compromising the quality of work and output.

As nowadays, time is of the essence for customers, so having its facilities ready in shorter timelines would mean quicker returns on investment, while also saving time and investment costs.
