As 2023 has just come to a close, it has been a remarkable year for the Group during which we set a strategic direction towards digitization and sustainability. Now we welcome 2024, a year that will see a complete change at Al Masaood. The landmark of this year will be the start of the implementation of our much-anticipated ERP system, being a core part of the Group’s digital transformation.
As with any change, we will face challenges, however it is important to embrace and overcome them as we pave our way to innovation and growth. There are many efficiencies and opportunities to leverage on as a business with the new ERP system, so we must keep our focus on the rewards that the system will bring. Just like we are upgrading our systems and processes we must ensure that we, individually and in teams, are upgrading our knowledge and skills concurrently.
The business landscape in the UAE is evolving rapidly, but the common theme is that technology will take a centre stage. Technologies like Artificial Intelligence are becoming integral to our daily lives, and we should be ready to harness it’s capabilities. Watch out for a few technological surprises during the year!!
With all these changes, we also must remember that sustainability has become imperative to us all. The UAE is steering its path towards a sustainable future following the success of COP28, with multiple initiatives put in place to support this transition. Likewise, as a Group we will continue to chart our path to sustainability and support the UAE’s initiative in creating a greener future for us all. On a personal level, we should also adopt lifestyle and mindset shifts to be more sustainable through our daily behaviours. This way, the green change that we, as a Group, are advocating starts from within us.
In 2024 many opportunities lie ahead, so let’s make the best of it and ensure we transform yet stay authentic to how we best serve our customers and community.
