Al Masaood Automobiles Recognised as ‘Largest Nissan Service Centre’ Globally and Certified as ‘Nissan Retail Concept NEXT Facility’
Last week, we had the honour of welcoming the President and CEO of Nissan Motor Corporation, Makoto Uchida, for a GEMBA visit and to officially inaugurate Al Masaood Automobiles’ revamped Musaffah M-12 facility in Abu Dhabi.
Present at the visit were our esteemed Chairman, H.E. Masaood Ahmed Al Masaood, and Directors Humaid Al Masaood and Masaood Rahma Al Masaood, along with a high-profile delegation from Nissan Global and Nissan regional offices, including Guillaume Cartier; Chairperson, Nissan AMIEO, Leon Dorssers; Senior Vice President, Nissan AMIEO Marketing & Sales, Thierry Sabbagh; Divisional Vice President, President of Nissan Middle East, Nissan Saudi Arabia, INFINITI Middle East, Albert Khreiche; Managing Director, INFINITI Middle East, and senior Nissan management members.
The visit entailed a full tour of AMA’s flagship facility covering the new showroom, delivery centre, service reception and workshop, and our innovative ‘Active Drive’, which all implement Nissan’s global retail concept ‘NRC’. With digitised processes and retail spaces, the enhanced facility reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional and memorable customer experiences at every touchpoint.
Digitising the Experience
These enhancements have transformed the customer journey from a traditional model to a highly personalized, digitised, and immersive experience. The showroom incorporates a host of interactive and digital features designed to engage and delight. Among these are digital hotspots, vehicle customization zones, and enhanced digital display areas, all of which contribute to a more dynamic and bespoke customer journey.
Personalised experience at every touchpoint
To offer our customers a unique and more personalised journey, we’ve introduced the UAE’s first air-conditioned ‘Active Drive Experience’ for Nissan in our service receptions, where customers can also enjoy our comfortable lounge and a transparent view of their car being serviced while they wait.
AMA Globally Recognised
At the end of the visit, CEO and President Makoto Uchida San handed our Chairman a plaque, officially recognising the AMA M12 Nissan Service Centre as the largest in the world, and the showroom as a ‘Nissan Retail Concept (NRC) NEXT Certified Facility’. He also signed a Nissan Patrol Super Safari ‘Al Ostoura’, commemorating the final edition of this much-loved car model.
A Sentimental Coincidence
What makes this visit truly stand out is the sentimental memory it carries with it. Back in 2010 - coinciding with the global launch of the Nissan Patrol at the time, AMA had just completed the construction of its all-new AED 300 million facility in Mussafah. The facility was also officially inaugurated by Carlos Ghosn - the Global CEO of Nissan at the time. 14 years later, it is heartwarming to welcome Nissan’s current CEO to our premises again, boasting the extensive continual improvements that we have been investing in it, to make it stand as a true embodiment of customer centric innovation and in line with the latest disruptions in the automotive landscape.

I now look to the AMA Falcons to best uphold our values of centricity and delighting our customers. We must fully optimise our advanced premises and keep upping our game. It doesn’t end with facility advancements, it all counts on taking every possible action to create delightful, memorable, and value-added experiences for our customers.
