Nissan’s New Auto Cooling Paint Trial Shows Positive Potential

With the intense heat we experience during the summer months in this region, keeping vehicles cool is a priority for many of our us. Nissan, in line with its commitment to leveraging the latest technologies and intelligent mobility systems, is currently trailing an innovative automotive paint designed to address this challenge.
Nissan’s advanced cooling paint, developed in collaboration with Radi-Cool, uses cutting-edge materials to reflect sunlight, significantly reducing temperatures both on the exterior and inside the vehicle. After a year of rigorous testing, the results have been encouraging, showing a reduction of up to 12°C on the vehicle’s surface and up to 5°C inside compared to traditional paint.
While still in the testing phase, this technology can have promising potential, especially in this region, and can enhance comfort of drivers and improve fuel efficiency in vehicles.
