I want to take a moment to reflect on what we achieved together in 2024. This year has been one of steady progress, teamwork, and commitment, and I am truly proud of what we accomplished.
One of our key milestones was the successful launch of the SAP MANARA Project. This was no small task, but the teams’ collective efforts across the group facilitated the launch of the journey which has taken thousands of manhours so far and have still have a long way to go. The team showed amazing commitment in challenging how we work and where we see ourselves in the future.
Improving credit control has been another priority this year. We rolled out a new policy and automated credit application processes, helping us manage receivables more effectively. I am particularly proud of achieving record lifetime collections for the group, including the recovery of longstanding debts.
In our ongoing effort to strengthen our financial oversight, we introduced quarterly balance sheet reviews, with the aim of addressing potential issues early, and ensuring higher reliability of our data and reporting. This was a time consuming and challenging initiative which is showing good results.
To enhance our cash management, we also developed a group cashflow reporting tool that provides a consolidated view of our cash position across the organisation. At the same time, we standardised budget reporting and the business case process, adding consistency and clarity to our planning and financial goals. The budget process was seamless and ran efficiently this year. All credit to the team.
None of these achievements would have been possible without the dedication, professionalism, and hard work of our team. Every step we took in 2024 was a collective effort.
This year, our focus will be to continue building on this foundation: improving efficiency, embracing innovation, and staying disciplined in managing our responsibilities. Like a strong football team, success comes from every player giving their best.
