Stepping Forward – Reflecting Positive Habits
12 March 2025
This week, we turn our focus from self-connection to reflecting on the habits we cultivate — the small, everyday choices that refine our character and mindset.
The holy month of Ramadan has a way of gently reminding us to pay closer attention—to our thoughts, our actions and behaviour that shape our daily lives. It’s a chance to become more mindful of the way we respond, interact, and grow.
Noticing the Patterns
Every moment offers an opportunity to practice patience, gratitude, and self-restraint. Ask yourself:
Did I pause before responding in frustration?
Was I aware of how my energy affected those around me?
Did I take time to appreciate something I often overlook?
Recognising these patterns will help you adjust and align your actions with your values. The choices we make—however small—define the path we walk.
This Week's Challenge: A Letter to " Future Me"
Write a letter to your future self, envisioning where you hope to be at the end of Ramadan in terms of growth, mindset, or habits. Include specific goals or reflections you hope to achieve. After Ramadan, revisit the letter to see how far you’ve come and what you’ve learned.
To help, you can use the website: www.futureme.org, where you can write a letter to your future self and set a date on when you want to receive it.
Pass it on
A reminder to carry these reflections forward — whether through a kind word, a thoughtful action, or by sharing your journey. If you'd like, use #PassItOn and tag Al Masaood to inspire others along the way.
