Following the formation of the ‘Automobile and Spare Parts Agencies Working Group Committee’ (WGC) by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), Ahmed Rahma Al Masaood, Vice Chairman of Al Masaood Group, has been elected to chair the newly formed automotive group.
Established to help promote the local automotive sector, the WGC has been instrumental in building stronger stakeholder cooperation and connecting investors with local and federal government and semi-government bodies in Abu Dhabi.
Ahmed Rahma Al Masaood said: “With this election, we have been given an opportunity to closely collaborate with some of Abu Dhabi’s giant automotive dealers and industry players, including Al Futtaim and Juma Al Majid, to name a few. We will put forth our expertise, the needed resources and our in-depth knowledge of the regional market to build a more resilient ecosystem within the sector, and an environment conducive to innovation and creativity. Moreover, our mission to establish long-lasting alliances between stakeholders will remain a top priority, recognising that genuine ties are crucial to sustaining the development of our industry.”
Ahmed Rahma’s election came after years-long efforts to establish the Committee to help advance Abu Dhabi’s automotive community. The Committee complements the conglomerate’s pursuit of creating more vibrant cooperation between the Group’s various divisions and relevant public agencies in Abu Dhabi.
The dynamic partnership between Al Masaood and ADCCI has existed for years. It began with the appointment of the late Ahmed Al Masaood as ADCCI’s first President. The late Rahma Al Masaood was also a former President of the Chamber.
