In line with sustained efforts to empower youth and inspire communities to lead healthier lives, Al Masaood Automobiles, the exclusive distributor for Nissan in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Western region - has been supporting year-round sporting events in Abu Dhabi held by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. Such events highlight the dedication of Al Masaood Automobiles – Nissan to promote healthy lifestyle among residents and citizens which falls under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
As part of its innate support for community-focused initiatives and events, Al Masaood Automobiles - Nissan earlier this year entered a partnership with Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) to sponsor major sporting events and activities hosted by Abu Dhabi and help showcase the capital as one of the most prominent sporting hubs in the world.
The latest in the list of sports events sponsored by Al Masaood Automobiles include the UAE Triathlon Community Challenge at Al Hudayriat Island that took place earlier this month. Al Masaood Automobiles - Nissan also supported the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Run organised by Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA) at Yas Marina Circuit during October. The unique ladies-only run featured a 1km, 3km, 5km and 10km lap.
The UAE Triathlon Community Challenge was conducted in different categories to include all the preferences ranging from the classic Triathlon to Duathlon for individuals and teams, junior super sprint Triathlon for the kids, and special Olympic level duathlon for the students.
Aimed at promoting high endurance disciplines such as triathlons among masses in Abu Dhabi, the UAE Triathlon Challenge also gears up to the World Triathlon Championship Finals taking place in Abu Dhabi from November 23 to 26, 2022. In addition to the World Championship races, the event will feature community races for triathletes of all ages and skill levels, giving age-group competitors the opportunity to compete on the same weekend and in the same venue as the best in the world. With this, Abu Dhabi will join a list of some of the world’s most iconic cities in hosting the World Triathlon Championship Finals - including London, Beijing, Chicago, Budapest, the Gold Coast and Lausanne.
Moreover, by sponsoring the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Run, Al Masaood Automobiles – Nissan is highlighting its commitment to uplifting women in sports and encouraging them to take more active roles in the field. The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA) was launched by H.H Fatima Bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, to encourage Emirati women of all ages to lead a more active and healthier lifestyle.
By partnering such events, Al Masaood Automobiles - Nissan hopes to foster lasting relationships with the local sports communities and contribute to the development of Abu Dhabi as a world-class venue for international sporting competitions.
