Al Masaood Automobiles - the exclusive distributor for Nissan in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Western region - has sponsored the Spartan World Championship, which was held at Al Wathba desert in Abu Dhabi on December 3-4, 2022.
By supporting such events, Nissan Abu Dhabi is working towards empowering the youth and inspiring communities to lead healthier lives. This comes as part of Al Masaood Automobiles - Nissan’s partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) earlier this year to sponsor major sporting events and activities hosted by Abu Dhabi and help showcase the capital as one of the most prominent sporting hubs in the world.
The championship, which was organised by Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Spartan - a leading endurance sports brand - in Abu Dhabi for the second consecutive year, saw the participation of over 5000 men and women athletes from more than 80 countries. The athletes conquered a number of challenging obstacles - including A-Frame Cargo, Atlas Carry, and Ape Hanger – during the two-day championship. The event also featured a myriad of local traditions and flavor, including local fare, cultural demonstrations, and some good old fashion dune buggies. In addition, this is the second time in the history of this championship that it was held outside the United States.
