Al Masaood, a privately held and highly diversified Group whose companies and partnerships span activities and expertise in 18 different market segments, was named Gold sponsor of the Abu Dhabi Judo Grand Slam 2019, part of the World Judo tour, that took place from 24-26 October at Mubadala Arena, Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of His Highness (H.H) Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
Organized by the UAE Wrestling and Judo Federation, this year’s tournament was the sixth edition of the event and has brought over 500 judokas from almost 100 countries around the globe to the UAE capital competing to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Al Masaood’s participation falls in line with its corporate social responsibility (CSR) as an Emirati organization that is committed to support international sporting events in the country, with Judo Grand Slam 2019 marking the 10th year of successful sporting events being hosted and organized in Abu Dhabi.
