Al Masaood Tyres, Batteries & Accessories (TBA) Division has joined Abu Dhabi Police’s ‘Safe Traffic Summer’ campaign for the third year in a row to help promote road safety and reduce the risk of a vehicular accident in Abu Dhabi during this hot season.
Set to end in July 2021, Abu Dhabi Police’s ongoing initiative urges car and truck owners and drivers in the emirate to have the tyres of their units checked. This will ensure that the tyres are undamaged and still safe to use.
Salah Adib, General Manager, Al Masaood TBA Division, said: “It has been found that car accidents are notably high during the summer season due to a host of preventable factors. We share Abu Dhabi Police’s mission to reduce this risk by conducting free tyre checks at designated points across Abu Dhabi. In line with the goals of the campaign, we have deployed our teams on Abu Dhabi Island’s roads and at ADNOC’s petrol stations. They are trained to make sure that your tyres are in good condition. Our free service forms part of our commitment to make a difference in our communities.”
The campaign was launched this month by officials of Abu Dhabi Police during a ceremony attended by Ahmed Rahma Al Masaood, Vice Chairman of Al Masaood Group, and Adib. Aside from tyre checks, the ‘Safe Traffic Summer’ campaign also includes awareness sessions on the danger of using old, too much or too little air-pressured tyres. Reinforcing these sessions are various posts to official social media channels to increase community awareness on the goals of and activities under the initiative.
Al Masaood TBA, a distributor of the full Bridgestone tyre range for cars, trucks, industrial, agricultural and earthmover vehicles in Abu Dhabi, manages a chain of rapid oil change centres through its association with Total France. These centres are also equipped to offer tyre change and brake replacements services. For its commitment to service excellence, the Division has been awarded the ‘Gulf Cooperation Council Distributor of the Year’ title given by Bridgestone Corporation.
