Abu Dhabi, April 23, 2018: Al Masaood Group, one of Abu Dhabi’s leading family businesses in multiple sectors such as power, automotive, industrial manufacturing and real-estate, received an honorary recognition at the UAE Sports Achievement Award, which took place on April 22nd, 2018 in Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi. As part of an initiative by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the ceremony praises the UAE’s sporting achievements.
As it runs into its 12th season, the UAE Sports Achievement Awards aim to acknowledge and reward aspiring Emirati athletes who have out-performed and over-achieved in their careers. The ceremony was hosted by H.E. Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and a member of the Executive Council and President of the fund.
The esteemed Mr. Masaood Rahma Al Masaood represented the Al Masaood Group and received an Excellence Award from H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. Remarking on this considerable achievement, Mr. Masaood Rahma said: “This is yet another testament to Al Masaood’s active role in anchoring Abu Dhabi’s long-term vision in raising a health-conscious and active society, where UAE athletes demonstrate their exceptionalism.
