Movember – Men’s Health Awareness Month

Movember is here, and it is a month dedicated to increasing awareness about men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer.
In the UAE, healthcare experts are sounding the alarm about the expected rise in prostate cancer cases among the aging expat population over the next 30 years. Late-stage diagnosis in the UAE is more common compared to other countries due to the lack of regular screening programs. A well-established screening program for individuals aged 55 or above is essential, along with addressing barriers that deter men from screening. Prostate cancer often remains asymptomatic until it is in the advanced stages.
