At SMM Hamburg 2026, Al Masaood Power joined customers, industry partners and our principal brands, mtu and Volvo Penta, to explore the latest developments in marine power and propulsion.

With mtu, a key highlight was the new mtu Series 2000 variable-speed generator sets, offering up to 15% lower fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions compared with constant-speed gensets.

The Volvo Penta display featured the Volvo Penta Hybrid Propulsion Unit, D4 Variable Speed Marine Genset and eIPS for Electric Propulsion, showcasing solutions for evolving marine applications.

The week also included the Rolls-Royce Maritime Business Forum 2026, with discussions around fleet efficiency, propulsion strategies, sustainability, resilience and the maritime energy transition.
